Typified by its profound and time-honored historical and cultural foundation,the Chinese culture,due to the painstaking efforts by scholars of successive generations,has maintained its continuity for more than 5000 years.Therefore,our foreign language education cause should be set against the macro-background of traditional Chinese culture in order to maintain our own ideas and beliefs and avoid losing the inherent qualities of the Chinese culture.The paper concludes that any deviation from one＇s own national values and cultural traditions in talent cultivation is doomed to failure.
