摘要
应用2005—2008年广东管理科学研究院武书连大学排名指标及面向江西招生的一本类高校招生数据,通过实证研究方法研究大学排名对高校招生竞争力的影响。大学排名中的本科生培养得分、自然科学研究得分、社会科学研究得分没有有效发挥对优秀高考学生的吸引作用,这显然与大学排名对引导学生志愿选择的作用是相违背的,这也会降低大学排名的可信度。据此提出了优化大学排名指标体系设置的建议:在本科人才培养指标上要协调数量指标与质量指标;应充分考虑文科考生和理科考生在大学期间的人才培养目标和方式的差异性。
The relationship between the university rankings and the competitiveness in enrollment is studied on the basis of the data from 2005 to 2008 on Wu Shulian's University Rankings and Jiangxi's first undergraduate enrollment.It can be noticed that the scores in undergraduate education,research in natural sciences and social sciences—the important factors in compiling the University Ranking,have not effectively played their role in attracting outstanding students,which is obviously contrary to the compilers' original wish and will eventually undermine the reliability of the rankings.Accordingly,it is suggested that both quantitative and qualitative indexes should be taken into account in setting up the indexes for undergraduate education and the differences between students of science and those of liberal arts in the end and the form of talent production should be fully weighed.
