“普世价值”争论中若干观点的辨析——兼论民主的“基本价值”与“中国特色”

The Discrimination About Some Viewpoints of "Universal Values"——Comment on the "Fundamental Values" and "Chinese Characteristics " of Democracy

关于"普世价值"的争论中,反方对概念的理解及论证的思路存在明显的片面性,其主要观点难以令人信服。在人类的政治发展中,民主、自由、人权等基本价值是无可否认的。民主政治是共性与个性、内容与形式的统一。不同国家的政治体制及其发展程度各不相同,但其中包含民主的共同属性。坚持"中国特色"并不意味着排斥"基本价值",反而应当更好地实现、维护和发展"基本价值"。

In the debate on ＂universal values＂,the understanding and demonstration of the opposers are obviously one-sided.Their main viewpoints are hard to be convincing.With the development of politics,fundamental values such as democracy,liberty,human rights cannot be denied.Democratic politics is the integration of universality and individuality,content and form.In different countries,though the political system and its development differ from one another,there exists the common attribute of democracy.Adherenct to ＂Chinese characteristics＂ does not mean excluding ＂fundamental values＂.Instead,it means realizing,defending and developing ＂fundamental values＂.
