The paper introduces the application of the orthotropic steel bridge deck pavement and the steel bridge deck pavement technique in China and their development, illustrates the research results and characteristics of the steel bridge deck pavement technique at abroad, and sums up the advantages and disadvantages of the grouting asphalt concrete pavement layer and the pavement layer for the epoxy asphalt concrete, so as to direct the construction of the steel bridge deck pavement.
