The relationship between cleaner production and 'end-of-pipe' technologies, process integration, source-oriented and product-oriented strategies are discussed firstly based on the technological evolution of cleaner production. Some new principles suitable for environment management, such as Lifecycle, Eco-design and concurrent process engineering are introduced. An overall framework of cleaner production is built finally.
