Meaning in Life and Its Individual Differences

基于生命意义的概念分析,本文认为生命意义是以目标感、统合感以及实现感为核心特征的心理构念,含有认知、动机和情感等多个维度,具有相对稳定的个体差异性。其个体差异主要体现在意义寻求、意义存现和意义来源等方面。本文最后还指出生命意义的未来研究方向:应致力于厘清生命意义各种个体差异变量与其结构维度之间的关系,整合以往的测试工具并编制本土化的生命意义测试工具。

Based on a psychological construct conceptual ananlysis of meaning in life, this article regarded meaning in life as a charactering by goal pursuiting, cognisance of coherence, and sense of fulfilment. Meaning in life, as a multidimensional construct, includes motivitional, affective and cognitive facets. Individual differences of meaning in life, such as search for meaning, presence for meaning, and sources of meaning. In the end, it pointed out： Future directions should endeavor to make distinctions between individual meaning, difference variables of meaning and structrual components, to integrate measurements of and to develop an indigenous tool for measuring chinese meaning in life.
