摘要
C.S. 了解C.S.
The article tries to explore C.S.Lewis' viewpoints upon life and death in the Chronicles of Narnia. His viewpoints upon life and death are greatly influenced by Christianity and he believes death is a wonderful transition from this world to that world. The ultimate destination, namely the Aslan's land, includes and embodies the nice parts of every world.Meanwhile, the protagonists have multiple chances of life because of their experiences in other worlds;in essence,it is Lewis who possesses more chances of life. The multiple chances of life are more than artistic enjoyment, but they are real to Lewis since he regards the secondary world created by words more real than this world. With more knowledge of Lewis' viewpoints upon life and death,Chinese readers can better appreciate the artistic beauty of the Chronicles.
