Resentment is a new judgment of novels by Zhang Ailing in the 21st century and the modernity experience of her cultural reflections. She resisted and resented not only the traditional malpractices in China, but also the shortcomings of modern western culture. With the cultural assumption that females were evil by nature, her novels provide a good experience of resentment.
