The self-adjointness of a class of 4-order differential operators with transmission conditions and the boundary conditions containing characteristic parameter is investigated.Such problems are studied in an appropriate Hilbert space,and need to define an operator A relevant to the problem and to prove the operator is not only symmetric,but also self-adjoint.
