摘要
王尔德的喜剧不以情节取胜,而以其驱遣文字的天才能力闻名于世。他笔下最出色的文字,不是诗句而是对话。王尔德的对话往往一语道破,成为警句。而妙用各种修辞手法使得这些警句锦上添花,这既是王尔德喜剧语言最显著的特征之一,也是王尔德喜剧具有永恒艺术魅力之所在的重要原因。本文以《温德米尔夫人的扇子》和《不可儿戏》两部具有代表性的著作来初探王尔德的喜剧作品的语言魅力。
Oscar Wilde＇s comedy is famous for his gifted ability dealing with words,not for its plot.His most excellent words is dialogue not verse.The dialogue always turned into epigram,hitting the mark with a single comments.The skillfully using of the rhetoric techniques makes the epigram more vivid,which not only is the most remarkable character of Wilde＇s comedy language,but also is an important reason for its eternal existence of art charm.This essay is a brief talk on Wilde＇s comedy language charm from his two representative works Lady Windermere＇s Fan and The Importance of Being Earnest.
