摘要
福柯的权力理论认为,权力是一种力量关系,是一种相互交错的复杂的网络。话语是权力的表现形式,是知识传播和权力控制的工具,权力和话语是不可分割的。权力的实施创造了知识,形成特定的权力话语。本文旨在运用福柯的权利—话语理论解读《红字》,阐释清教社会的规训权力在小说主人公身上如何得以运作和实施,以及在权力网络中被压抑的个体如何作出回应,并行使反抗权力,试图寻找话语权。
According to Foucault,power is about the relationship between powers which is like a complicated interwoven net.Power is carried by discourse,and discourse is the instrument of knowledge transmission and power dominance.Power is inseparable from discourse.The implementation of power produces knowledge and forms special discourse of power.This paper aims to analyze The Scarlet Letter from the perspective of Foucault’s Power-discourse Theory,elaborating how the protagonists are disciplined by the disciplinary power of Puritan society and how the individuals react to and f ight against it in return in order to seek their power of discourse.
