This paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the route examination for seafarers engaged in inland water transport,and discusses the new requirements imposed on the evaluation by the implementation of ship routeing systems.It puts forward some new ideas on route examination and introduces the main design and technical features of the digital evaluation system.
