The early idea of English Puritanism has had an important influence on Defoe’s creation.The image of Robinson is closely related to Defoe’s ideology and life experience,therefore Defoe shows his own thoughts of Puritanism and sense of value through Robinson’s behavior.This paper studies the image of Robinson from an ideological point of view.
