Wireless sensor network applications because of its great prospects has caused great concern in academic circles,the scientific community to become one of hot research.The article focuses on the basic overview of wireless sensor networks,then introduces the ZigBee protocol, and finally to describe wireless sensor network and applications for home automation as examples based on ZigBee protocol.
