民族关系的核心问题为民族利益问题,而民族利益问题又集中体现在民族经济利益问题上。调控好民族经济利益的发展,可以带动民族政治、文化、宗教等所有利益关系的调适。针对民族地区经济发展滞后的情况,要按照科学发展观的根本要求,重点做好摒弃传统保守观念、调整优化经济结构、推进科技进步、加快体制创新、提高少数民族文化素质的工作,以民族地区经济发展的跨越式腾飞,促进社会主义新型民族关系的巩固和发展。

The core of Minzu（ethnic） relations is ethnic interests.The issue of ethnic interests is mainly reflected on ethnic economic interests.Regulating the ethnic economic interests can promote the adjustment of all the relations such as Minzu politics,culture and religion.Based on the lagging conditions of the economic development in the regions inhabited by ethnic groups,it is essential to follow the basic requirement of the Scientific Outlook on Development and focuses on the following： 1.abandoning the traditional conservative ideas;2.adjusting and optimizing economic structure;3.promoting the progress of science and technology;4.accelerating institutional innovation;5 improving people＇s cultural accomplishment among the various ethnic minority groups.The new socialist Minzu relations are to be consolidated and improved with the rapid economic development in ethnic regions.
