Beneficial discussion of data structure of AutoLISP and ADS is presented in this paper so that a better selection of them can be done for the development of AutoCAD. Entity data structure of AutoCAD is a kind of list which changes continuously in elements and element types. AutoLISP can easily deal with it, but ADS can only process it with a list of result buffer, a new data type of ADS.
