From Ethical Spirits to Political Values:The Influence of Harmony of Man and Nature and to Value Justice Above Material Gains on the Political Psychology of Chinese

"天人合一"与"重义轻利"在中国传统文化中早已为人们广泛关注和研究。从政治学和政治心理学的视角看,"天人合一"与"重义轻利"反映了传统中国人关于人与物质世界的认识和态度,并对传统中国人关于对他人、对权威、对国家和政治体系的情感和态度倾向具有影响和规范作用。由于"天人合一"与"重义轻利"观念发生作用的社会环境有了重要变化,这组概念及其观念内涵也需要在新的语境中不断被重新界定和认识,以期为重塑国民政治心理以及构建不同于"古典和谐"的现代社会和谐提供伦理与政治价值的支持。

The notions,harmony of man and nature(tian ren he yi) and to value justice above material gains(zhong yi qing li),have been widely practiced and studied.From the perspective of political science and political psychology,these two notions actually reflect the cognition of and the attitude toward man and material world among traditional Chinese people,and in turn have regulative influence on Chinese people feelings and attitude orientations about authority,state and political system.As the social environment has greatly changed,these two notions and their implications need to be redefined and understood in the new context so as to provide ethical and political value support for the reshaping of the political psychology of the Chinees people and the building of modern social harmony that is different from classical harmony.
