本文基于2010年上海世博会"城市,让生活更美好"的主题,充分解读了上海世博会英国馆建筑设计特点,分别从英国馆区位分析与设计概况、建筑设计的主题演绎与理念的延展、建筑形态与建筑建构以及建筑技术应用等方面,对英国馆建筑设计以及展馆设计进行了详尽的解析,进而总结出在体现世博会建筑自身展示性、试验性、技术先进性的同时,更需倡导科学性和技术性的完美结合,将种种有助于人类发展的新概念、新观点、新技术以可持续发展的态势奉献出来。

Based on the theme of 2010 Shanghai Expo,'Better City,Better Life',this thesis interpretes fully the character of the architecture design of the British Pavilion.After analyzing the architecture and the exhibition site in detail in aspects as venue and design survey,performance of the theme and extension of the idea,architecture form and construction,as well as application of architecture techniques,it concludes that the British pavilion embodies the characters of showing,experiment and advanced technology of architectures in Expos,and at the same time,it initiates the perfect combination of science and technology,which contributes the new concepts,ideas and technologies helpful for human beings in a sustainable developing state.
