The authors analyse the present condition of petroleum machinery industry and set a target for promoting its development. The authors deem that the petroleum machinery industry is the strategic point for developing petroleum industry and should be developed in advancc and, for this purpose, put forward some suggestions on perfecting the policies of technical advancement, strengthening the micro-control, optimizing the overall arrangement, and mobilizing the whole industry to give full play to the overall superiority.
