In the 21st century, the concept of agriculture is no longer limited to the primary industry. The strategy of shanghai enhancing the overall competitiveness of its agriculture should rely on modern agriculture based on the resources of market, trading, technology and information, instead of the traditional agriculture based on land resources. Based on the ideas of industry convergence, industry cluster and knowledge-based economy, Shanghai’s agricultural logistics is to integrate farm produce trade, logistics, exhibition, tourism, and training. The realization of agricultural industrialization is promoted by market, trade, technology and tourism.
