Based on the foundations which determine the purposes of physics education:the features of physics,the social quality of education and the laws of students′ development,the paper studies the basic purposes of physics education:to forster the qualified human beings for society,to improve the comprehensive qualities of a generation citizens,and to make students develop all round.Then it explores the ways of realizing the purposes of physics education:to make students form good morals,to develop intelligence and to be in physical and psychological health.
