改革开放30年来,农民工正在经历着从老一代向新生代的转换。新生代农民工不仅是一个在社会经济特征和个人特征方面与第一代农民工有着诸多显著不同的流动群体,也是最有市民化意愿和亟须市民化的群体。新生代农民工群体的出现,为我们统筹城乡发展提供了一个重要的契机和切入点,通过新生代农民工市民化,构建城乡健康发展的制度架构,有利于我们加快中国城市化的进程,推动中国传统社会结构的转型。

Nowadays,farmer workers are undergoing the transformation from old generation into new generation.New generation farmers are quite distinctive from old generation farmers in terms of social-economic traits and personal traits,and they are also the group with the strongest citizenization intention and need to be citizenized.The emergence of new generation farmer workers paves the way for our comprehensive development of urban and rural areas.Constructing institutional structure for healthy development of urban and rural areas through citizenization of new generation farmer workers will accelerate the urbanization process in China and promote the transformation of traditional Chinese society.
