清代是一个疫病灾害频发的朝代。通过对《清史稿》相关资料的考察可以发现,清代疫灾的时空分布具有如下特征:康熙中后期和雍正朝是一个疫灾严重的时期,道光、咸丰、同治年间是又一个疫灾严重的时期;疫灾发生的月份主要集中在三至八月间,其中五、六、七三个月为高峰月;浙江、山东、湖北、河北、江苏五省是清代疫灾的高发省份。
