S波段掺铒光纤放大器的研究进展

摘要 随着数据通信量的剧增,光纤通信系统容量迫切需要提高,开发S波段已成为系统扩容的一条重要途径。基于掺铒光纤研制S波段(1 470~1 530 nm)光放大器成为开发S波段有源器件、实现通信系统扩容的优化方案。文章主要介绍S波段掺铒光纤放大器(S-EDFA)的各种实现方案及最新研究进展,分别阐述和分析了各种结构的S-EDFA的实验装置、工作原理及性能指标。 With the explosive growth of the data communications volume and the urgent demand for the increase of fiber-optic communication system capacity,S-band(1 470~1 539 nm) development has become an important approach for the system capacity expansion.The Er-doped fiber-based development of S-band optical amplifiers is an optimized scheme for developing S-band active devices and realizing communication system capacity expansion.This paper mainly introduces the various implementation schemes for the said amplifier(S-EDFA) and the latest research advances,describes and analyzes S-EDFA experimental set-ups in different configurations,work principle and performance indexes.
