A Research on English Spoken Grammar and Its Teachability in Class

摘要 随着口语语料库的发展,口语语法受到了越来越多的关注,然而,人们对是否将口语语法引入教学仍持有争议。本研究首先在文献综述的基础上分析了对口语语法的理解;然后,结合英语口语教学的特点,探讨口语语法在内容选择、材料使用及教学方法等方面所具备的条件。研究认为,由于部分典型的口语语法相对确定、口语语法教材使用的多渠道以及教学方法的可借鉴性等,口语课教师可以尝试将口语语法引入课堂,尽管可能会面临较大挑战。为此,我们应该注重师生的语言意识培养,以利于最终体会到口语语法教学的效果。 With the development of spoken corpora, research on English spoken grammar becomes a recent phenomenon, and a number of distinctive grammatical features of spoken language are detected. However, disputes still exist on introducing it into classrooms. The present research explores understandings to spoken grammar on the basis of literature review, and discusses the teachability of spoken grammar in spoken English class in terms of teaching contents, methods and materials. Conclusions are reached that although teachers may still confront great challenges, spoken grammar and its typical features can be introduced into spoken English classroom with the con- sideration of combining language fluency and accuracy. Therefore, the present research calls for language awareness training for teachers and students in order to successfully implement the teaching of spoken grammar.
