目的论视角下的隐喻翻译探究

Research on the Translation of Metaphor from the Perspective of Skopostherie

目的论与隐喻认知的工作机制密切联系。隐喻的构成特点决定隐喻的理解和翻译是一个具有目的性、跨文化的选择过程。翻译时,针对目的性强的源文本和译文,应首先分析源文和译文所要达到的交际目的,再对源文本中的隐喻信息进行必要的筛选、修改或增删,运用各种修辞手段进行翻译;针对具有明显文化特征的隐喻,翻译时不妨灵活运用直译加注、替换喻体或转化喻体等方法。有时为保证译文的语际连贯性,翻译时还可采用添加喻体的方法。

The working mechanism of metaphor closely connects with Skopostheorie. The features of metaphor constitution tell that the process of comprehension and translation of metaphor is characterized of cross-culture and purposeful selection. To the source and target text, the expected communicative purpose should be analyzed; metaphor in source text should be selected, modified, supplemented or deleted before applying various rhetoric methods to translation; to the metaphor that is featured of cross-culture, skills, such as translating literally plus annotation, transforming or substituting the vehicle, can be used. The skill of adding vehicle can be used to achieve intertextual coherence.
