Chinese Translation of Gospel by Julio Aleni Coming to China in Late Ming Dynasty

艾儒略是晚明第一代入华耶稣会士,在中西文化交流中作出了卓越的贡献。他首次翻译了福音书。与耶稣会在华的传教方针一致,艾儒略在译介福音书时也采取适应的政策,对耶稣的生平事迹进行改写,把福音书从欧洲文化语境中转移出来,放到了儒家文化的氛围之中。

Julio Aleni was one of the Juits who came to China in late Ming Dynasty. He made monumental achievements in cultural exchange between China and the West. He translated Gospel into Chinese for the first time. In accord with the Juits＇ acculturation policy, Julio Aleni rewrote the Jesus＇ story, and transferred Gospel from the European cultural context into the Confucian culture.
