As a cultural phenomenon,numbers are one of the earliest words that human civilization learned and used.＂0＂,a spe-cial figure in the numeral system,has gone beyond its original meaning in mathematics and become a figure with abundant cultural connotations.By making comparisons of cultural connotations of ＂0＂in Chinese and English,proper translating strategies are ex-plored to get over language barriers in cross-cultural communication,and meanwhile bridge the gap of the two cultures.
