摘要
英语写作一直是教与学的难点。写作测试、问卷调查和个别访谈的研究发现:词汇量有限和语用知识薄弱是阻碍高中生英语写作水平提高的主要因素。英语教师应该采取读写结合的模式,在鼓励学生大量阅读、增大语言输入量的基础上,设计循序渐进的语言输出活动,加强运用语言的练习,从而提高语言输出的质量。
English writing has long been a difficult skill for students.This study aims to explore the problems of English writing among Chinese high school students and work out appropriate solutions. Data was collected from a students' essay test,a questionnaire survey and the interviews followed. Results indicate that limited vocabulary and poor control of syntactic structures are the two main factors hindering the improvement of high school students' English writing.Connecting English reading and writing is a way to solve problems.English teachers should first encourage students to read extensively so as to enlarge their language input,and then design step-by-step activities to give students more opportunities to use the target language in real writing situations.Using this approach will improve the quality of high school students' English writing.
