Critical thinking training,as an instructional method,is consonant with the philosophy advocated by research-based instruction and is well worth trying for it gives a specific answer to the how-to question.The concrete approaches applying the principles of critical thinking training in teaching practice include thesis reviewing,public speaking and debates,solving problems in groups and thesis writing.Such approaches will have positive effect on students＇ learning methods throughout their learning process and,in turn,advance their competitiveness.
