East China＇s Jiangsu Province has begun compiling the plan on children and women＇s development for the 12th Five-year Plan （2011-2015） period. Some of Jiangsu＇s cities, including Nanjing, Lianyungang and Taizhou, have some new ideas about and methods for compiling the plan. Nanjing： Demonstrating Own Characteristics The following objectives were outlined： First, bring major targets of children and women＇s development into the Outline of Nanjing＇s National Economic and Social Development Plan During the 12th Five-year Plan （2011-2015） period, and bring the children and women＇s development plan into the municipal-economic and social-development plans;
