Galectin-8 and bronchial asthma

半乳糖凝集素-8（Galectin-8）日益受到人们的重视，它具有多种生物学活性，参与细胞黏附、细胞生长、凋亡、免疫调节、炎症、及肿瘤转移等。近年来研究表明Galectin-8通过多种途径参与支气管哮喘的发生发展。本文就有关这方面的进展作一综述。

Increasing attention has been paid in Galectin-8. It has various biological activities, involved in cell adhesion, cell growth, apoptosis, immune regulation, inflammation, and tumor metastasis and etc. Recent studies show that Galectin-8 through the various channels involved in the development of asthma. In this paper,the progress in this regard are reviewed.
