潘懋元教授在从事高等教育基本理论研究的同时,从20世纪80年代中期开始致力于研究中国高等教育改革、发展实践中的一系列重要现实问题,提出了一系列关于中国高等教育发展的理论。这些理论不仅对实践产生了积极的影响,而且还诠释了高等教育应用理论的解释力,显示了高等教育应用理论的意义和价值。

While in basic theoretical research on higher education,Professor Pan Maoyuan,from the mid-80s,started working on a number of important practical issues emerged in China＇s higher education reform and development,and at the same time,advanced a series of theories on the development of China＇s higher education.These theories not only have a positive impact on practice,but also interpret the explanatory power of the applied theory on higher education and show the significance and values of it.
