On Meme Transmission and Literary Translation Strategy

在模因论的基础上探析翻译模因与文学翻译策略的关系。提出用辨证法去分析归化异化这两种翻译策略,即当归化异化都可取时,首选异化。反之,该归化则归化,该异化则异化。归化异化是同等重要的两种翻译策略,各有所长,两者应统一于译文被译文读者接受、实现文化交流的目的。

This thesis paper aims at researching the relationship between translation meme and literary translation strategy based on memetics.Dialectics is put forward to analyze two translation strategies——domestication and foreignizing.These two strategies should be used properly.When translating Chinese from English,the character of the original can be expressed by foreignizing.When translating English from Chinese,domestication can make the original more understandable to foreign readers.In a word,translator should be required to have a clear conception of scientific translation and the ability of artistic expression,producing the perfect translated text by using domestication or foreignizing.
