以比较的方法剖析东西方室内设计,比较的意义在于发扬中华艺术,特别是"诗"一样的中国室内环境艺术。西方的诗具象较多,写景或写一种场面;中国的诗多写意,写一种情,常称作意境。这种差别也反映到室内设计中。通过比较可以正确理解中国自己的设计风格,正确对待西方室内设计流派,来探索适应我国发展需要的完整的室内设计模式。

This paper makes a comparison between the Eastern and Western interior designs in order to develop Chinese arts, especially the ＂poetic＂ Chinese interior environmental arts. In the Western poems, there are many specific images depicting scenes; in the Chinese poems, there are many connotations depicting emotions, which are often called artistic conception. Such differences are also reflected in the interior designs. By comparison, people can understand the Chinese and Western design styles. People can make comparisons between China and the West so as to explore a complete interior design mode which is suitable for China＇ s development.
