高校教师研究地方史要密切联系地方历史与现实发展实际，遵循历史唯物主义原则，以服务地方社会发展为目标，挖掘、保存和发展地方历史文化，同时要加快研究成果转化，为地方经济社会发展作出应有的贡献。

College teachers must adhere to the principle of historical materialism, and connect with local history and realistic development. They must not only carry forward the local historical culture but also speed up the transformation of research results so as to promote the development of local economy when studying the local history.
