The problems are presented in calculating the parameters of shaded pole motor with the step air gap.It is discussed that the step air gap has influence on motor parameters which include the master reactance and the inductance both master coil and start coil.It is analyzed the shaded pole notchs,the pole pins and the step pins have an effect on the air magnetic field.And how to take the form factors is given.
