The Morphology of Urban Space after Long Term Natural Growth——Analysis of the Urban Space Network in the Como Development Process Based on the Space Syntax Theory and Methodology

运用空间句法理论和方法,以意大利历史城镇科莫市过去300年中的城市发展进程作为样本,研究一个城镇在保存历史文脉的前提下,空间系统结构的增长模式。并在大量测算数据的基础上,指出城市演变过程中空间网络的动态特性以及回归值的存在。以此量化解释城市发展过程中的内部机制,同时为设计师理解城市的传统空间特质提供可操作的方法和工具。

This paper gives a pilot study,through the application of the space syntax theory and methodology,on the growth pattern of urban space network in Como,the Italian city which continued its historical context in the urban development during last 300 years.Through the use of data analysis,the dynamic characteristics of space network and the attractor value in the urban development process have been revealed.Furthermore,the research analyzed the mechanism embedded in the urban development, and provided the method of understanding traditional urban space network for urban designers.
