Based on the transition of the leadership style from the hard means to soft means, this article divides headmasters＇ instructional leadership styles into six kinds： conventional type, object-monitoring type, institution-restricting type, resource-provider type, culture-nurturing type and cultivating type. Different styles suit different schools. The headmaster＇s aeademie standard, maturity of teaching staff and organization influence the style of headmasters＇ instructional leadership.
