Through introducing the flaws of old-fashioned suspender arched bridge,the necessity and urgency of replacing suspender,maintenance and reinforcement of this kind of arched bridge are illuminated.Taking Fuzhou Jiefang Bridge as an example,the procedure and technique of suspender replacement are introduced,especially replacing cable and its technique,which can provide reference for replacing suspender and other similar engineering in future.
