Historical Materials in the Study of the History of Chinese Libraries

我国学界对图书馆史研究中的史料问题,大致有两种看法:一种是认同史料的基础性地位,倡导重视口述史料的收集与整理;二是力主意义阐释,寻绎"史"的规律。史料问题是我国图书馆史学界的短板,史料建设任重道远。

Generally, there are two viewpoints held by the Chinese academia about the historical materials in the study of the history of Chinese libraries. One admits the basic place of historical materials in the study of history, thereby attaching importance to collecting and sorting out the oral historical data; the other approves of meaning interpretation and explores the law of history. However, historical data is still the least developed aspect in the study of library history in China. So there is a long way to go in the construction of historical data.
