鉴于英语首字母缩略语零翻译在汉语中不断增多,本文以SARS和甲型H1N1流感为例,从英语首字母缩略语入手,详细探讨零翻译的两种基本类型——绝对零翻译和相对零翻译,并分析这两种零翻译类型的优势和要注意的问题。

As more and more English acronyms are pouring into Chinese, this paper, taking acronyms such as SARS and the H1N1 flu as an example, classifies zero translation into absolute zero translation and relative zero translation, and discusses the advantages and issues of these two types of zero translation.
