摘要
From the Heigouliang and Dongheigou cemeteries, recently the phenomenon of human sacrifices has been initially identified in the eastern Tianshan Mountain areas and is worth for further research.By respectively studying the typologies of burial owners’ funeral goods and human victims’ paraphernalia, this paper suggests that these two cemeteries should belong to simultaneous archaeological cultures grounded on the fact that the shapes of burials, burial customs and assemblages of burial goods from these two cemeteries shares lots of similarities. Moreover, the Central-plain style bronze mirror with plumose decoration shows that these burials can be dated as early as the Early Western Han period. Also, the styles of artifacts show a combination pattern of two different origins:the Yanbulake Culture represented as an indigenous culture, and the Huns Cultural elements which might be a conqueror as a foreign culture.
