明季贵州普安州诗人谢士章（1581~1637）,幼时为普安州举人、江西宁都知县陈时言过房子,因名陈士章。在贵州成长,考中举人、进士。登第并对养父母尽孝对陈氏兄弟尽责后,疏陈情奏请复姓谢。

Shizhang Xie,born in Pu＇an,Guizhou province,was a poet in late Ming Dynasty.When he was a child,he was adopted by Shiyan Chen who was then the chanvellor of Pu＇an,and a imperial scholar from Pu＇an.For this reason,he was renamed Shizhang Chen.As he grew up,he received a Juren（or first-degree Scholar） degree,and later passed an imperial examination and received a Jinshi（or imperial Scholar） degree.After he passed the imperial examination and fulfilled the duty to his adoptive families,he submitted a memorial（which was approved later） to the imperial government for resuming his original family name,Xie.
