In this paper,the instance of demolishing the old building by controlled blasting in dense building,crowed population,heavy traffic district is introduced.The blasting scheme of building,the choice of blasting parameter,the design of detonation network,safeguard and blasting effect are described.Some valuable experiences of controlled blasting to demolish old building are put forward.
