摘要 气象传真机在航海作业中具有重要的作用,是航海安全的保障.图像压缩及格式转换对提高气象信息传输和储存效率具有重要影响.在介绍GIF图像文件结构的基础上,分析了当前几种LZW图像压缩算法的特性.针对气象传真机的具体应用,给出适合气象传真图压缩及格式转换的算法,并通过对压缩结果的比较,对该方法进行了验证. Meteorological facsimile receiver plays an important role in ensuring the safety of marine. Image compression and format conversion have deep influence on information transformation and storage efficiency. Based on introducing the construction of graphics interchange format (GIF) file, the features of the LZW image compression algorithm were analyzed To the application of meteorological facsimile receiver, the facsimile charts data compression and format conversion algorithm were given and verified by comparing the results of compression.
