Objective:To investigate the influence of electroacupuncture on NIHSS of pallium and the affection of the cerebral water content, the brain index, the cerebral area of infarction. Methods:The I/R models of rats were performed by thread embolism of middle cerebral artery for 2 and 24h of reperfusion.30 male Wister rats were randomly divided into four groups:sham-operated group, ischemia group, the treatment group and Zhen+5-HD group. The MCAO lasted for 2h and animals were reperfused for 24h.Neuropsychological score, infarct volume by total brain slices calculation and mitochondrial ultrastructure were measured.Result:Comparing with the sham operation group, the Neuropsychological score, infarct volume of the brain, and the brain index of the ischemia group increase.By the same time, mitochondria of the ischemia group are swollen, thickness, and vacuolization. The inside spinal column of the mitochondria break and the film break too.(P〈0.01);comparing with the ischemia group, the Neuropsychological score, infarct volume of the brain, and the brain index of the Zhen group decrease.Mitochondria of the Zhen group are less swollen, the basic configuration is prefect, and the gap of the inner film is very clear.(P〈0.01);the value of the Zhen+5-HD group and the ischemia group are similar the same. Conclusion:The acupuncture significantly effect to prevent the NIHSS of pallium, the mechanism might be the acupuncture would decrease the cerebral water content, the brain index, the cerebral area of infarction.
