On the Context Affecting Metaphorical Cognition

语言是人类交际的工具,而交际又离不开一定的语境。隐喻作为一种语言现象,必然与语境有着密不可分的关系。本文从语言学和跨文化交际学角度出发,浅析上下文语境、文化语境和情景语境对隐喻认知产生的影响。

Language is a tool of human communication while communication and context are indispensable. Metaphor is a phenomenon of language which is closely connected with context. From the perspective of sociolinguistics and intercultural communication, this paper focuses on textual context, cultural context and situational context which are affecting metaphorical cognition.
