简析赖肖尔的跨文化身份

The study of Reischauer's inter-cultural identity

埃德温.赖肖尔是美国哈佛大学教授,美国战后首屈一指的日本问题专家。1961-1966年任美国驻日本大使,在日本具有一定的影响。赖肖尔一生著作颇丰,对美国的东亚研究影响颇深。本文试图利用赖肖尔自传以及相关专著,对赖肖尔的两种文化身份进行分析,弥补目前赖肖尔研究的不足。

Edwin O.Reischauer was a Professor in Harvard and one of the leading Japan study specialists in US after the World War Ⅱ.He produced many works during his life and played an influential role in American East Asia studies.As an ambassador to Japan from 1961 to 1966,he endeavored to strengthen the understanding between US and Japan.This study aims to analyze Reischauer＇s inter-cultural identity with the autobiography of Reischauer My Life between US and Japan and other works on Reischauer.
