随着＂~性＂用法的不断丰富,＂性＂作为名词性和区别词性后缀在理论上的局限性越来越明显。从句法结构上看,有些带＂性＂词接受了程度副词的修饰;从语义上讲,这些带＂性＂词具有明显的程度义。由此我们得出＂性＂也是形容词性后缀。＂性＂词缀在这三大词类之间的功能游移,一方面是其自身的语素义决定的,另一方面由名词、区别词、形容词这三大词类在连续统上的地位决定的。

Chinese words with suffix ＂xing＂ are extensively applied in modern Chinese.＂Xing ＂is no longer confined to nominal suffix and distinguishing suffix.From the point of the syntactic structures,＂adverb of degree＋~xing＂ is available;From the point of semantic characteristics,this structures with degree;So we can sum up this suffix is also adjectival.The function shift from noun to distinguishing words and then to adjective words,depend on semantic characteristics and words＇ stat us in t he word class.
